The ‘sensational’ pitch invader, Awal Suleman who suddenly leapt onto the pitch on Thursday night during Ghana’s AFCON qualifier against South Africa at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium will be processed for court today.
Awal, a former 400 meters runner at Apam Senior High School invaded the pitch in the 83rd minute of the game and started running hysterically to God knows where.
He managed to outwit all the police and fire service personnel who chased him until he was finally grabbed.
The brief moment excited the fans at the stadium who were already in a buoyant mood as the Black Stars led by 2-0.
Ghgossip.com has reliably been informed that Awal is still behind bars awaiting trial today in Cape Coast.
However many fans on social media have called for his immediate release because pitch invasion is not punishable by law.
