Prof. Ato Essuman has been elected as the 20th Chairman of WAEC following the 69th Annual Meeting of the Governing Board (Council) of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) today.
This means Prof. Essuman’s will be in charge for a three-years (March 2021 to March 2024) in line with the Council’s Constitution.

Prof.Essuman succeeds Mr Baboucarr Bouy from The Gambia,who was voted into office in March 2018.
The 69th Meeting was virtually held from Monday, March 22 to Friday, March 26, 2021.
