Ghanaian Reggae star, Rocky Dawuni has revealed he once taught Sarkodie as a student without actually realizing it.

According to him, years later after Sarkodie became famous, he could not even remember that he had once taught that very same student.

It would be recall that Rocky Dawuni in an interview with Hitz FM on January 24 said he once taught Ghanaian legend, Sarkodie at a point in time during his national service in Koforidua.

He has yet revealed on the same network, Hitz Fm on Tuesday during an interview that he was teaching at the Universal Primary in Koforidua at the time and a young Micheal Owusu Addo was in his class, he just did not know it.

“Obviously, I did not know about it …, he was one of the students in Universal Primary in Koforidua who was in my class… he got the opportunity to experience my music,” he said.

Dawuni revealed that it was only later that he got to know he once taught Sarkodie and he feels very proud of that as Sarkodie is now one of the best artists around.

“I remember when I first heard Sarkodie, I was in Los Angeles when somebody called me to check this guy out, and his track was ‘Borga’. For me, as an artiste, I can tell the quality when I hear the person’s voice and also the delivery; the delivery of that song was just so flawless and caught me right there…”

“I have always respected his music…I remember when I came to Ghana one time and was asked what artiste I felt has amazing qualities, he was the one I mentioned right from the onset because I felt he was a real talent and then came to realize he was actually in my class.” Dawuni added.
