Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo Welewele on Accra100.5 FM, the former Ayawaso West Wuogon parliamentary candidate stated that such allowances must be scrapped off the list of benefits politicians enjoy while in office.

He averred that the task should be commenced starting with the president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo down to all his cabinet members, parliamentarians, ministers and all political office holders in the country.

“When you talk about fuel, I think we should start from the top, the presidency down to the DCE’s and the MCE’s so that we know we are scrapping off or reducing the amount of fuel they take”,

he said.

John also said that other allowances like security should be intensified because the leaders and lawmakers in the country need to be protected at all cost.

“As for security, we have had instances were politicians are attacked in this country so for that, I feel they need some form of security because they are the ones who make the laws“, he added.
