Kelvin Prince Boateng dropped an important message before Ghana’s embarrassing defeat to Comoros in the 2021 African Cup of Nations presently ongoing in Cameroon.
The former Ghanaian international who was ousted from the team following their infamous debacle in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil revealed that he’s now available for selection obviously as a dig to the misfiring Black Stars players who have exited the AFCON tournament in the group stage.
He shared thus;
The player recently joined Hertha Berlin after spells in England, Spain, Italy, and Turkey.
The 34-year-old former Ghana international rejoined Hertha in the offseason to help the “Old Lady” recover from years of underachievement and make good on the promise delivered by backer Lars Windhorst’s $450 million investment.
“I’m the boss, in a good way,” Boateng told journalists in a video call this week. “I’m a good boss. I listen, I talk. I help, I’m the joker, I’m the singer. I do everything, but I’m the boss.”
“I came to Ghana just three and a half months ago, don’t expect magic,” Rajevac said at the presser.
Meanhile Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has hit back at critics calling for his head after the shocking exit of the four-time champions at the African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The Comoros defeat followed draw with Gabon and the opening day defeat to Morocco. This means Ghana failed to win a single match at the tournament for the first time.
He said, “I will stay and lead Ghana in the World Cup qualifiers in March. I believe we have a team that can become stronger and get to the World Cup.”
“My target was to qualify Ghana for the World Cup, this AFCON is my primary target. I am looking forward to qualifying Ghana for the world cup in March.”
The draw for World Cup play-offs is scheduled for Saturday, January 22, 2022.
