Football superstar, Sergio Aguero is set to retire from active football permanently.

This is due to a heart problem he has developed in the last few weeks. News about his retirement was made known by renowned sports journalist, Fabrizio Romano in a recent tweet.

This comes after the player had to be substituted in Barcelona’s La Liga game against Alaves on October 30 after he complained of suffering from breathing difficulties.

Per reports, he was suffering from a condition known as cardiac arrhythmia. The condition occurs when electrical impulses in the heart don’t work properly. There may be no symptoms.

Alternatively, symptoms may include a fluttering in the chest, chest pain, fainting, or dizziness.
If required, treatment includes anti-arrhythmic drugs, medical procedures, implantable devices, and surgery.

In the tweet made by Fabrizio, he wrote;

“Sergio Agüero’s set to retire from football due to heart problems, @gerardromero
