Baafira hitmaker and revered Dancehall act, Stonebwoy has advised Ghanaian youth to desist using illegal drugs that can potentially kill them, for instance tramadol.

The drug ‘tramadol’ has become ‘famous’ in Ghana following revelations that some Ghanaian youth especially those in the slums and ghettos abuse it.

It was discovered, people use it as a stimulant, similar how cocaine is used and it’s already caused the death of some of the users.

In the light of this, Stonebwoy advised the youth to refrain from it whilst advising his colleagues to stop glorifying such drugs in their music because music is a powerful tool that can influence people into taking drugs.

He said:

Even if you abuse water you will die how much more medicine which will have an effect on you. I do stand behind the campaign that the abuse must stop.

You don’t have to do it for the hype. We are the ones destroying our lives. I beg them.

The musician made the call on Hitz FM yesterday  (May 7) in an exclusive interview.
