Jones earned Tony nominations for “I Do! I Do!” and “110 in the Shade,” and won the Drama Desk Vernon Rice Award for “The Fantasticks” in 1961.
Sadly, the lyricist and librettist of long-running ‘The Fantasticks’ has died. Tom Jones passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023, at his home in Sharon, Connecticut. He was 95 and died from cancer, his son said.
