Tony Stewart Daughter: Does Tony Stewart Have Any Children? – In Westport, Indiana, Tony Stewart purchased his first go-kart for racing in 1979. He achieved his first championship in 1980.

He was successful from a young age in go-kart racing, taking home the World Karting Association championship in 1987.

With the assistance of one of his karting sponsors and friend Mark Dismore, he moved up to the United Midget Racing Association (UMRA), where he raced TQ (three quarter) midgets until 1991, when he again did so, this time to the United States Auto Club (USAC) series.

Stewart won the USAC Silver Crown Series in 1988, the USAC National Midget Series in 1994 and 1995, and the USAC Rookie of the Year award in 1991.

Tony Stewart, also known by his stage name Smoke, is a semi-retired American professional stock car racer who is also a current co-owner of the Superstar Racing Experience and Stewart-Haas Racing, a NASCAR team.

As a driver, he has won the NASCAR Cup Series championship three times, in 2002, 2005, and 2011.

Stewart has won championships in sprint, USAC Silver Crown, midget, and Indy cars throughout his racing career. The only driver to have accomplished this feat in IndyCar and NASCAR is him.

In the 2016 season, he last participated in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (now called the NASCAR Cup Series), piloting the No. 14 Chevrolet SS for his team, Stewart-Haas Racing, and working under crew chief Mike Bugarewicz. He raced the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing car from 1999 to 2008, with Greg Zipadelli serving as his crew chief and The Home Depot serving as his main sponsor.

In 2002 and 2005, Stewart won two Cup Series championships while racing for Joe Gibbs, the car’s owner.

Since Alan Kulwicki, Stewart was the first owner-driver to win the Cup Series championship in 2011.
