It’s rather unfortunate that the Tourism Ambassadors in Ghana do not know their job and have not done much work. Some of them have started but nothing substantial enough to to get them awarded even.

Today being a World Tourism Day, it has been brought up that the World Bank has approved of a Grant of some millions of Dollars which is even currently under scrutiny since we aren’t even confident if it was 40m or 50m

given. This report is gathered from two different National Newspapers.

Concerning the Tourism Ambassadors, it has been brought to our attention that some of them do not even have projects, whence those who have, do not have funds to support these projects to allow a manifestation and fruition of them. Another argument been raised is whether the Tourism Ambassadors are supposed to send a proposal on which project to embark on or is it that the Tourism Ambassadors are supposed to be given projects form the Heads of the Tourism Ministry. This situation is very alarming as those supposed to be handling projects do not even know where they stand.
Secondly, those who have also submitted to the Ministry have not received any feedback approving of it for months now.

The likes of Daddy Lumba and Lucky Mensah, were assigned to defecation along beach sides and other pollution that goes on there, yet, not much seems to have been done. Apparently, the project looks as if it has been “abandoned”.

A few Ambassadors such as Diana Asamoah, Yvonne Nelson, Agya Koo, Praye, Abedi Pele, Van Vicker, Okyeame Kwame and others, have not come forward with projects they have proposed or ones they have given, likewise. The monies paid to these Ambassadors is also been noticed as some are referring to it as “Chicken Change”.

That money that has been brought in, we hope is apportioned wisely and really benefits us. Ghana needs Revision of Aims!
