Turkish club, Saraykoyspor have confirmed the death of forward Ekundayo Ebenezer Mawoyeka who slumped during Sunday’s league game. Ekundayo Ebenezer Mawoyeka is a Nigerian international who plies his trade in Turkey.
The cause of death has been attributed to heart attack.
The club as since issued a statement confirming the death of their player, while urging for calmness amongst their supporters.
“Our pain is big. In the 35th minute of the game we played with Yesilkoyspor, we are sorry to hear about the news that our footballer Ekundayo ‘Eco’ Mawoyeka has passed away.” the club announced on Facebook.
