This comes after the Deputy Finance Minister, Abena Osei Asare, on Tuesday, July 6 requested that the government should secure a $28 million loan to purchase V8’s for the parliamentarians.

Well, Twene Jonas has joined many Ghanaians who have kicked against the idea and asked the President to throw out the request made by the Ministry of Finance.

According to Twene Jonas who tagged the President and his cabinet as “fools” said that the same amount can be used to establish factories and other productive ventures for the unemployed youth in the country.

He said that the procurement of the vehicles for the 8th Parliament does not benefit the average Ghanaian, thus it needs to be thrown out immediately.

He also said that the MPs will not even make judicious use of vehicles other than chasing women and attending funerals while the roads in their respective constituencies are in bad shape.

Again he took a swipe at Afia Schwarzenegger by saying that she and other slay queens will be the only beneficiaries of such privileges since they normally hang out with MPs.
