Cameroon’s forward player, Vincent Aboubakar has set a record at their 2nd group game at the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Prior to the game, the Cameroonian national team was trending after the decision of Rigobert Song (coach) decided to leave out his first-team goalkeeper, Andre Onana from the team because of disciplinary issues.
However, Vincent Aboubakar was introduced into the game by Song after they went 3-1 down against Serbia on Monday, November 2. The introduction of the striker worked perfectly for the team as he showed his masterclass.
Vincent Aboubakar became the first substitute to score and assist in a single World Cup game for an African nation. The goal and assist from Aboubakar aided Cameroon to secure their 1st point in the tournament. Cameroon will face Brazil in their final group game of the competition.
