Controversial socio-political analyst and anti-corruption activist, Kwame Asare Obeng, affectionately called A Plus, has castigated the Kumasi Traditional Council for shutting down Oyerepa FM.

As we reported earlier, a directive from the Kumasi Traditional Council ordering the management of the Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM and TV station to halt operations temporarily starting from Friday, August 26, 2022, was informed following some comments made by politician, Odike on their platform against Manhyia Palace.

Reacting to this on his Facebook page, A Plus, opined that the decision by the Kumasi Traditional Council to close down a radio station was out of place and uncalled for.

He cited an instance of how things will turn out if the Ga traditional council or the Volta regional house of chiefs shut down a media organization because they have been accused of perpetuating a blunder or for exposing them.

He wrote; “If the Ga traditional council or the Volta regional house of chiefs close down a media house because they have been accused of a crime on their platform, this country will be ungovernable. This is not right.”

Also in a recent post by A Plus, he reacted to a recent comment from the president about looking up to God to save the ailing and devastating Ghanaian economy.

A Plus reacted to this in a recent post on his verified social media handle on the popular social media platform, Facebook and according to him, if governance is all about prayers, then Ghanaians need to better vote for a pastor to become a president.
