Who Are Lee Sun-kyun Parents?: South Korean actor, Lee Sun-kyun has died. He was best known for his role in the Oscar-winning film, “Parasite”, the first foreign language film to ever win the coveted category.
Lee Sun-kyun, 48, was found dead in a car in one of Seoul’s main parks on Wednesday, December 27, 2023. It’s unclear if the actor took his own life, but police said they received a report that he had left home after writing a note.
Before Lee’s death, he went through three rounds of police questioning, including one session that lasted 19 hours on Saturday, December 23.
Sun-kyun was being investigated for suspicion of using marijuana and other illegal drugs at the time of his death.

Lee was best known for his role as the head of a wealthy family in the film, “Parasite,” which won Oscars for best picture and three other categories in 2020.
The project was the first non-English-language film to win Best Picture in the then-92-year history of the Academy Awards and was the first South Korean movie to win an Oscar.
The film’s cast, including Lee, also won a Screen Actors Guild award for the best motion picture ensemble cast in 2020.
He was nominated for best actor at the International Emmy Awards for his performance in the sci-fi thriller “Dr. Brain” last year, as well.
Even before “Parasite,” Lee was a popular actor in South Korea. He rose to stardom for his role in “Coffee Prince” and gained mainstream popularity with the medical drama “Behind The White Tower”, “Pasta” and “My Mister”
In addition to Parasite, he was known for his work in the action film “A Hard Day” and the drama film, “Paju”. He also starred in 12 episodes of the 2023 crime series Payback, playing the main character Eun Yong.
