Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has quizzed why Mensah Thomson was arrested and detained after meeting bail conditions.
In a democratic country like Ghana, the rule of law simply means that the law of the land must be applied equally and without favoritism or manipulation. The laws of the land remain the highest order of the country and it applies fairly to everyone who is found guilty.

Mensah Thompson was arrested, according to the member of parliament who represents the people of North Tongu Constituency. There is no need for national security to pursue Mensah Thomson after he retracted and regretted the things he said, according to Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa asked;
“After meeting all the bail conditions, the BNI and the police officers refuse to allow Mensah Thomson to Go. They rather detained him and gave him a small mattress to sleep on. I am very sad this treatment is happening to only a group of people whilst some culprits are walking freely. I know other member of Parliament who threatens to burn the house of Former President John Dramani Mahama. Yet that person( Honourable Kennedy Agyapong) was not invited by the police. This kind of democracy is not the best. Why did the national Security spare Kennedy Aggyapong to arrest Mensah Thomson”.
