Sitting President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has said the upcoming 2020 general election is an integrity test between him and former President John Dramani Mahama.
He has said this on Wednesday 23 September, 2020 in a statement he wrote in his Facebook Post.
” It bears repeating that 2020 is between the current President and the President who was voted out decisively in the last contest. It is about leadership. It is about integrity.” President AkufAddo wrote on his Facebook page wall.
Again, he continued to say that, the December election is another test of track records. Explaining further that, what will influence Ghanaians decision at the polls, will be the performances of him and Flagbearer of opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), when both had the opportunity to prove to Ghanaians their competency and in making the country a better Ghana.
President Akufo-Addo Added “It is about the performances of the two men when given the opportunity by the Ghanaian people to lead. It is about measuring records against promises.”

According to President Akufo-Addo, who will also stand as the Presidential Candidate for New Patriotic Party (NPP), the contest still remains between him and Flagbearer John Mahama, on who Ghanaians trust most per their previous leadership management skills of the affairs of the country.
“It is about which of the two leaders has shown in office that he knows how to manage the economy. It is about which of the two leaders you, the voter, can trust to deliver. It is about which of the two men you can trust with the future of your children. It is about which of the two leaders you know you can depend on in times of crisis. It is about which of the two leaders you believe can put in motion the necessary measures to revive and strengthen the economy, businesses, and social services, and build our country out of the Coronavirus pandemic. It is about which of the two leaders can implement a programme of transformation.” he ended.
