A piece of sad news circulating within the digital space has it that four teenagers have been crashed to death while attempting a TikTok challenge.

According to reports, the incident happened in Buffalo, in the United States of America as the police linked the tragic death of the four teenagers to the TikTok challenge.

Reports from the New York post revealed that the TikTok challenge was named “Kia Challenge” as people were expected to break into Kia cars using their cellphone chargers.

The victims were made up of four teenagers, namely; Marcus Webster, 19, Swazine Swindle, 17, Kevin Payne, 16, and Ahjanae Harper, 14 and they were killed after the car they stole crashed on Monday, ejecting them and one other passenger who is yet to be identified.

The driver of the vehicle was said to have been treated and released from the hospital, while a 14-year-old girl is listed in good condition at Erie County Medical Center. Harper, 14, is said to have recently given birth to a baby girl. Harper’s 15th birthday was set for November 1. Webster, one of the deceased, is said to have been a hard worker who juggled school and work.

Joseph Gramaglia, the Commissioner of the Buffalo Police Command stated that the law enforcement has received reports of numerous car thefts ever since the TikTok challenge was initiated.

The Erie County district attorney’s office, however, is investigating the crash and expects to file additional charges, according to spokesperson Kait Munro.
