At the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), most Ghanaians observed that Ghanaian musician, Dennis Nana Dwamena who is known as KiDi had a poor performance.

Many Ghanaian wondered why he had a poor performance and he has co me out to confirm he knew his performance was way below is usual performance.

He made this known in a recent interview he had with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM on Monday, June 28 on DayBreak Hitz.

In the interview, he said;

“I believe in the power of the tongue. Saying “I’ll be back” wasn’t out of arrogance or pride. It was just me giving myself hope.

I didn’t have a good performance at #VGMA22. I could have done better. A lot of things happened backstage that led to my poor performance at #VGMA22. I cannot disclose what happened to the public.

I was hopeful that I was going to win the Most Popular Song of the Year. Before Diana Hamilton was announced the Artiste of the Year, almost everyone around me had their phones on me, saying I was going to win. I said to myself “What are you guys doing? If I don’t win it will be yawa oo”.”
