Abrewa Nana has revealed in a new interview that despite being away for a while, her name continues to resonate in the hearts of music lovers.

“Abrewa Nana as my name in the showbiz industry has helped me a lot because the I loved the name and decided to use it, many people also liked the name.

“Some people call me Abrewa others also call me Nana whilst others call me AB meaning that if they like the name they won’t divide it into so many forms,” she stated in an interview on Kastle Entertainment Show.

Abrewa Nana was a household name over 20 years ago when Hiplife was still in its formative period. She dropped a handful of hit songs which became a favourite of party revellers.

She was then the only conspicuous female in the mainstream giving the likes of Obrafuor, Lord Kenya, Tinny and others a run for their money.

In a related development, rapper Tinny is not vibrant and has spectacularly moved down the pecking order in the music industry and this has vastly affected his finances.

For this reason, when his car was confiscated by the police recently after he failed to honour a contract to perform at an event during this Easter, Edem came through for him. As a matter of fact, it was Stonebwoy who paid ₵2000 for Tinny’s car to be released when he heard the sad news.

Hence during a recent show dubbed 995 Rush Hour on Asaase Radio hosted by Elvis Crystal and Keely, it was mentioned that Stonebwoy paid ₵2000 cedis for Tinny after his car was seized by an event organizer after he failed to show up for an event he had been booked for.

Edem, who was a guest on the show, heard the news and pledged ₵2000 to Tinny who goes by the moniker ‘Aletse Kankpe’ for a similar gesture he extended to him years ago. Edem explained;

I’m sending it because about 11 years ago when I came to Haatso, you took 2000 cedis from under your bed and told me that I should pay it whenever I’m ready.
