Veteran Ghanaian actor and reverend, Prince Yawson goes home today.

Waakye as he is popularly known in the movie scenes was reported dead on August 1st 2022 after suffering a short illness.
He passed away at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra some few hours after he was admitted for treatment. He died at 52 years.
This was after some few months after the actor personally confirmed to have suffered from an illness but God intervened and healed him completely. He was then ordained as a Reverend Minister in April 2021. He attended a Bible school in Accra for his new religious role after he officially bowed out of the movie industry.
His friend, Bob Smith Jnr. also known as Diabolo narrates that the late actor suffered a short illness and was taken to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital but there were no beds available for him.
He was then taken to Ridge Hospital and was given the same news. However, they managed to secure a bed for him at the 37 Military Hospital but passed on a few hours later.
Today happens to be the final burial rite of Waakye and some of his colleagues and friends stormed the funeral grounds to late tribute and bid farewell with the fallen movie star.
Veteran stars like Maame Dokono, Adwoa Smart, Abrobe and other stars stormed the funeral grounds to express their condolences to the bereaved family.
