Veteran Ghanaian actor, Alex Adu Kofi, well known as Agya Koo has appealed to the Inspector General of Police, Akufo Dampare to regulate the media landscape and scold bloggers who tarnish the images of celebrities in Ghana.

IGP held a conference with creative actors to address strategies to strengthen collaboration and cooperation, as you may recall. Those in attendance were Shatta Wale, Kuami Eugene, KiDi, Stonebwoy, A Plus, Bulldog, Samini, Socrate Safo, Afia Schwarzenegger, Rex Omar, and other industry superstars.

During the meeting, Agya Koo expressed his dissatisfaction with how some online journalists or bloggers ruin the reputations of some celebrities on social media through their platforms.

He lamented that some bloggers deliberately circulate false reports about celebrities on social media to tarnish their images, thus the IGP needs to regulate their space.

In other news, BET award-winning Ghanaian dancehall musician, Livingstone Etse Satekla, professionally known as Stonebwoy has commended the new Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare for meeting up with the Creative Arts Industry.

According to Stonebwoy, the move of the IGP to discuss security matters with the entertainers in the industry has been the first of its kind and as such, he needs to be applauded for executing such an initiative.

Speaking in a brief interview with Adom News, the Bhim Nation President explained that complicated security matters were explained to them in simplicity making sure they understand the viral points about the laws of the land.
