According to reports, South African hip-hop rapper AKA’s newly engaged fiancee Nelli Tembe has committed suicide by allegedly jumping out of a building in the early hours of Sunday, 11 April.
Last month, fans of the rapper were so elated after he took to social media to announce that he has decided to take the next step with his 22-year-old fiancée, Nelli Tembe, by paying her lobola.
The details around the incident are still sketchy, but Western Cape police spokesman Captain Frederick Van Wyk told the Daily Suns publication, “Crime scene experts were on the scene this morning combing the area to gather the necessary evidence.
“Cape Town central police are investigating an inquest case after an incident at a hotel this morning at about 7:45 on the corners of Loop and Bloem streets in the Cape Town CBD where the body of a 22-year-old woman was found deceased.”
The couple were said to be at the hotel as they celebrate one of the rapper’s friends party.
