Director of the Child’s Right International, Mr. Bright Appiah happens to be the man behind the case of Akuapem Poloo. He said that he tried reasoning with the actress in order for the case not to escalate to these levels but all efforts proved futile.

Speaking to Zionfelix on the “Uncut show”, Mr. Bright Appiah said that he asked the actress and her lawyer to open an investment account for the child so the case can be dropped.
He said that the sole reason behind this was that in an event where the nude photo and the boy becomes an issue in the future, the child would have his basic needs and run his life independently.
He said that if Akuapem Poloo had agreed and committed to the agreement, they would have pleaded with the court to drop the case because the mother has shown commitment to the child.
However, they complained that the amount is too much for the actress to raise so they agreed on GHC50,00 of which he asked them to return as soon as possible with the money and the boy’s details for the account to be opened.
Mr. Appiah said that another lawyer took the case and told them point-blank that the actress will not be depositing any money for the investment account, thus, their reason to pursue the case even further.
He also said that the sentence given to Akuapem Poloo was a lenient one since the judge only meted out such punishment to serve as a deterrent to others.
Meanwhile, Akuapem Poloo has been granted bail at GHC80,000 with two sureties plus other undisclosed kinds of stuff.
