Ghanaian Highlife music sensational singer Akwaboah has revealed why he love doing ‘Love’ songs.

Akwaboah said he doesn’t understand why people usually ‘attack’ him of doing only love songs for his fans and the Ghanaian public. He said aside his songs been some level of personally experiences, he feels great talking about love in his songs.
He stated he takes great inspiration from real life happenings and he knows writing and singing on love songs is his greatest strength in music and he’s not ready to switch sides or move away from that because of people’s criticisms.
He went on to debunk the allegations that all his songs are indeed love songs citing an example of a song like ‘mebrabo mu nsem’ as a clear example of song that talks about ‘life and it happenings’ rather than its been a love song.
Akwaboah also revealed he has written a couple of Gospel songs for some great Ghanaian Gospel musicians like SP Kofi Boakye, Cece Twum etc and even his colleague Highlife singer Becca, so he doesn’t understand why people are saying he does only love songs.
Speaking as the guest artiste on the program ‘Day Break Hitz’ aired on Hitz FM and hosted by multi-talented Ghanaian DJ and musician Andy Dosty, Akwaboah also touched on how his father has inspired his career as a son of a musical legend.
He said whenever he’s done with a new project, he plays it for his father to listen to it for scrutiny and he must confuse that he helped him a lot. He said his father listened to his yet to be release album and urged him to make some changes in a couple of the songs and after he did, the songs all sounds different now.
