Highlife artiste, Akwaboah Jnr has waded into the incident which happened at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2019 where Amakye Dede crown Kuami Eugene as the king of the future Highlife.
If you could recall, last year VGMA brought to an end before the time following a scuffle between Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale which led to the brandished of a gun on stage.

After the incident which the show commenced, Kuami Eugene was crowded by the legendary Highlife artiste Amakye Dede as the new face of the genre which made several people reacted to it.
People questioned the legendary Highlife artiste capacity to do such a thing and people reflected on Akwaboah Jnr as he has been hailed by many people of being the best artiste in the Highlife genre.
Well, Akwaboah Jnr speaking in an interview with Kumawood actor, Kwaku Manu on his Aggressive Show, he disclosed that the whole incident was wrong because it wasn’t Amakye Dede’s intention.

He explained that he doesn’t think the legendary singer will pick a crown from the house, mount a stage, and crown Kuami Eugene as the future of the genre adding that it was staged.
