Veteran High-life musician Gyedu Blay Ambolley has taken a swipe at Bhim Nation Boss, Stonebwoy for refusing to sing in his native language; Ewe rather than Patois which is the lingua franca of Jamaicans.

The Ragm Zo hitmaker wondered why Stonebwoy was engrossed in the promotion of another person’s language at the expense of his own; suggesting that the Dancehall artiste has an inferiority complex.

“Stonebwoy is an Ewe boy, he has to use music from his tribe, Stonebwoy is singing more Jamaican Patoa than his own local language”, he bemoaned.

“It’s the Jamaicans that came out with that, our brothers that were sent away to the other side of the world, they came with that Patoa, it’s their identification, they took them away from Africa.

Africa is the source. So why is it that you have to leave the source and follow the branch” Ambolley lamented.

Mr Ambolley was of the opinion that the current crop of musicians should endeavour to embrace their culture rather than foreign ones.
