Legendary African musician, Angelique Kidjo has released her tour dates.

She released these dates a few days after she was adjudged the winner of the coveted Best Global Music Album at this year’s Grammy Awards.

She won the award after beating Rocky Dawuni, Daniel Ho & Friends, Wizkid, and Femi Kuti. She won the award with her Mother Nature Album.

The album has some of the best names on the African continent including Yemi Alade, Mr Eazi, Salif Keita, Burna Boy, Shungudzo, Zeynab, Lionel Loueke, Sampa The Great, Blue Lab Beats, Ghetto Boy, EARTHGANG, and -M-.

This is her fourth Grammy Award after being nominated a whopping 12 times. Taking to her verified social media handle on the popular social media platform, Twitter, she wrote;

The renowned songwriter was born on July 14, 1960, in Ouidah, Benin. She was born into a family of performing artists. Her father was a musician, and her mother worked as a choreographer and theatre director.

She grew up listening to Beninese traditional music, Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela, James Brown, Manu Dibango, Otis Redding, Jimi Hendrix, Fela Kuti, Stevie Wonder, Osibisa, and Santana.
