Ghanaian cleric, Nicholas Osei who is widely known as Prophet Kumchacha has revealed what tithes are used for.

According to him, tithes are used for maintain ing the church and also for sponsoring the lifestyles of pastors.

He made this known when he spoke in a recent interview on the popular Ghanaian radio station, Hitz FM, and in his submission, he said;

“I believe in tithing. We use tithing to take care of the church, pay utility bills, and whatnot. The rest, we spend ourselves. Any pastor who says they give their tithe to God is a liar.

I do not fuel my car with palm oil or seawater. It is fueled with petrol. Therefore, tithing and collection are important. We feed ourselves [pastors] through spreading the word of God.

The Church flourishes by the presence of women. Left to the men alone, we, pastors, would struggle.”

In an earlier submission, Kumchacha advised people to desist from divorcing their partners because God detests such ventures.

According to him, divorce will send a lot of Christians to hellfire than other offenses like stealing. He backed his assertions with a quote from the Bible, Malachi 2:16.

It reads; “One should not be disloyal to the wife he took in his youth. ‘I hate divorce,’ says the Lord God of Israel.” Per this quote, God literally hates when married couples go their separate ways, hence such people might be condemned to hell.

Speaking in an interview on Okay FM, Kumchacha stated that people who normally engage in divorcing their partners are bound to hellfire more than any other sin.
