Popular Ghanaian blogger Kobby Kyei has backed Teephlow’s claims that in this period, award schemes base their nominations and awards on numbers regardless of the content of the album.

In a tweet, he revealed that when it comes to rewarding hard-working artists, except for Grammy Awards, award schemes do not pay much attention to sound quality, music content, and production.
Kobby Kyei’s statement comes after Rapper Teephlow indirectly argues in an interview on Zylofon FM that Medikal does not deserve the awards he got if the above-mentioned award schemes can go by rather than only concentrating on the numbers.
He wrote; Apart from Grammys, l’m still looking forward to witness an awards scheme who pays much attention to Music content, sound Quality, Arrangement, Production, etc….in Ghana”
