The deputy minister for tourism, Mark Okraku Mantey has called for the retirement of the competition between Ghana and Nigeria as he reveals that we are supposed to be working together and not competing against each other.

The competition between our artists and Nigerian artists is taking a toll on the music industry and Mark Okraku Mantey joining that conversation has asked whether we are not tired of competing against each other when we’re supposed to be working together.

According to Mark Okraku Mantey, Ghana and some other African countries including Nigeria signed a treaty years back to work together but that seems not to be working as we are rather competing against each other instead of working together.

Therefore, he has seized the opportunity to call for the retirement of this competition among our artists, asking them to work together for Africa to take on the world rather than competing among ourselves which will make us stagnant.
