Award-winning Ghanaian dancehall crooner, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr., widely known as Shatta Wale has taken to his social media to chant victory for the Ghana Black Stars as they play against Japan today.

The senior national team, the Ghana Black Stars recently jet off to Japan as they prepare to face off the Samurai Blue of Japan in the opener of the Kirin tournament starting today, 10 June 2022,

This is going to be the 21st edition of the international friendly football tournament since 2016 when the last one took place. However, this happens to be the first time Ghana is taking part in the tournament.

In reaction to that, Shatta Wale has taken to his social media to rally victory for the Ghana Black Stars, charging them to attack the game like warfare.

In other news, a 50-year-old man has been hospitalized after he tried committing suicide after killing his 33-year-old girlfriend, Akos after accusing her of stealing his GHc1,500.

The incident was said to have happened at Dzodze, the district capital of the Ketu North Municipality in the Volta Region on June 6th, 2022 after the suspect shot his girlfriend for stealing the said amount of money.

The Dzodze district police commander, Supt. Christian Dogbatse told GBC News in an interview that the police are currently investigating the case to update the public on further developments.

However, the suspect was said to have hit the bushes to commit suicide by slitting his own throat with a knife after realizing the implications of his actions.

The suspect was being hunted down by some residents along with the police until he was found in the bush trying to take his own life by slitting his throat. He is currently receiving treatment at the hospital as the police conduct further investigations.
