Shatta Wale and Kwaw Kwese were embroiled in war of words some time ago over who owns the name King of The Street so it comes as a huge surprise they have buried the hatchet and collaborated on a new single.

The song, Allo Life which was produced by Williesbeatz is currently enjoying massive airplay everywhere. Kwaw Kesee, speaking to fellow hiplife artiste cum radio presenter, Pope Skinny on Adom FM’s Kasahari Level says its time they brought an end to the beef and made money out of it hence their collaboration.

“The game is showbiz, that is, ‘show’ and ‘business’. We are done with the show part of the game so what we are doing now is the business part of the game,” he explained.

He added that beefs keep artistes on their toes and enable them learn and write more to counter their opponent. The man insane

further highlighted how they combined their expertise on the new song.

“Shatta Wale called me that school ‘poppy’, let’s end the misunderstanding among our fans with some track, so he sent me the beat and I rode on,”
he revealed. He challenged Samini and Shatta Wale to bring something out of their beef if really their beef is over.

Beef in the hiplife circles is said to have been Ex-Doe and Chicago in 1999 when the genre was in it developmental stage. It is also on record that beef is the ‘hottest’ so far in the history of Ghana music.

Since then, other artistes have used that medium to take their perceived antagonist (as it were) to the cleaners lyrically.
