According to veteran highlife musician, movie maker and actor Kaakyire Kwame Appiah, Bessa Simons becoming the next MUSIGA president would be the worst case scenario.

Unlike Appietus who was praising Obour for his good works don for MUSIGA, Kaakyire says the former’s administration is coupled with corruption, his reason for stepping down as MUSIGA vice president.
“If Bessa Simons says he will contest for the National President of MUSIGA, then we have a very long way to go, Trust me. I love Bessa so much but it’s like when one finishes his tenure, he get a successor to handover to prevent being thoroughly audited,” he said.
“One thing I have realized with the way things are going is that, when one doesn’t want his track to be uncovered, he gets his favourite to cover up for him. I constantly get calls from stakeholders urging me to contest for the National Presidency position but I told them, please! At the close of the day, others will go behind closed doors and make payment to become the President,” he added.
Speaking on Kasapa Entertainment Show with Kojo Preko Dankwa, the ‘Yeekodi’ highlife hitmaker added that he has not been able to speak on this issue because he did not want to dent his hard earned reputation.
“It has become something like, we those in the music and movie industry are always washing our dirty linen in public. Besides, at my current age, it wouldn’t be prudent for me to be roaming from one radio station to another and also to avoid people from misconstruing my statements. So I decided to save my little integrity left but our industry has a big problem especially GHAMRO,” he explained
