Ghanaian drill sensation and Hiplife musician, Mohammed Ismail Sherif Kwaku Frimpong, sensationally known in the music space as Black Sherif has explained the inspiration behind his latest song “Soja”.

After several months of starvation, Black Sherif decided to bless his fans and all music lovers with another potential worldwide hit jam dubbed “Soja”.

This comes months after he dropped his “Kwaku The Traveler” which gained dominance across the world and also topped charts. The song become No.1 on Apple Music both in Nigeria and Ghana and the composer became one of the few musicians in Ghana to achieve that progress in their music career.

Speaking with a group of panelists in a radio studio including the 3Music Network boss, Sadiq Abdulai Abu, Black Sherif just a few hours after dropping the song explained to them the inspiration and the message he wants to carry across to his fans in his new song.

According to him, the song talks about how one needs to deal with him or herself in order not to allow his or her own anxieties and negative energies sway them off their purpose and goals in life.

Blacko said that he never felt any song anymore for about a week after penning down this particular song but he was asked to hold on before releasing it to the public.

However, his team head after listening to the song over and over again, encouraged him to release the song in order for it to serve its purpose.

He added that song also speaks about how people should brace themselves against all negative energies and their own anxieties in order not to loose focus in their lives.

Meanwhile, Black Sherif has chalked another milestone in his music career as he is being nominated in the BET Awards’ Best International Flow category.
