According to a news item found on MyNewsGh.com indicates that two persons have been arrested by the Central Region Police command for posing us bodyguards of the President who is attending the Speech and Prize Giving Day of Adisadel College.
The arrest was initiated by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mr Asare after the two failed to provide prove that indeed they are part of the Presidential security team
Somewhere last year, Sissey Ibrahim was also arrested in a full military attire claiming to be part of Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia’s security team.
According to the then Ashanti Regional Police Commander, COP Ken Yeboah was charged for five counts including impersonation, stealing and deceit of public officer.
ASP Benjamin Adu stationed with the VVIP Unit and Chief Inspector Bediako Darkwah of same unit who effected the arrest reported that on 11th March, 2018 at about 11:30 am, the suspect who claims to be a student of the University of Ghana, Legon, was spotted in the company of the security details of the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana.
