A married woman has reportedly died in the house of a catholic priest after she lied to her husband that she was attending a funeral in the next town.
According to reports, the married woman is a member of the Catholic Women’s League from St Maurice Catholic Church in Lusaka, Zambia. The married woman who passed on in the house of the catholic priest reportedly lied to the husband about her whereabouts as she used a funeral as care off to stay in the catholic priest’s house for days. Reports suggest that the catholic priest invited the deceased to his house on Thursday night.

The Church is said to have suspended the catholic priest identified as Father Abel Mwelwa and has also been forced to pay all the expenses that will be used for the funeral of his ex-lover who died in his room. The Archbishop of the parish, Alick Banda was the one who suspended the catholic priest from the branch church of Lusaka.
After the suspension of Father Mwelwa from the Kaunda Square Parish, the church released an official memo which reads;

“I hereby wish to inform you that I have with immediate effect suspended the Rev. Ringford Abel Mwelwa from the priesthood indefinitely. With this suspension, he ceases to be Parish Priest for Kaunda Square Parish. Secondly, the priest also ceases to be the Judicial Vicar of the Archbishop of Lusaka.” A part of the memo read.
According to the report made public by an unconfirmed source, the married woman died after the catholic priest mixed a susbtance in the drink of the lady in an attempt to about her pregnancy.
