Popular nollywood celebrity, Belinda Effah, started of a submission, describing her displeasure in the rampant nudity on social media but has ended up as a debate between Nigerian celebrities.

Belinda Effah made a post discrediting the use of giveaways to promote nudity on social media. A case study is Tory Lanez and SlimCase’s use of twerking ladies live on IG for money. Her post was concise as she challenged the men engaging men in that fashion to put their families on board if they deem it necessary to do so.

Colleague celebrity, Moyo Lawal, objected to Belinda’s cl aim, reminding her that the ladies engaged in the act without being coerced. The actress seemed to have spoken for the masses as many trooped in to back her for the point raised.

Belinda, being shocked at how her colleague jumped in to normalize an abnormal act, came back stronger with a post and caption which reads;

Women is this how much you hate yourselves?

Is this the much insecurity you possess ? .

Ok let me explain – If you have a sister or a mother that is into prostitution or drugs or have a drinking problem, won’t you look for ways to rehabilitate the people you love despite the fact that they are mature and are of age yet they have their weaknesses? .

” Will you allow them go to places where they can easily have access to men or drugs or alcohol? Won’t you fight with everything you have to get them out of the bad habit just because you want better for them? I mean you will even battle God in prayer to deliver them.

I read the comments and I felt sick in the pit of my tummy , to think most of these comments came from women is sickening.

If your sister or friend is in an abusive marriage, won’t you finds ways to get her out of it? I bet you will say – leave her she is an adult , no one forced her into it. How hateful can you people be?

My point to the men is this, do not promote this evil, do not encourage this to just to satisfy whatever you are satisfying just because these women have weaknesses. True no one forced them but you can make a difference by not patronizing them, that way you can help curb the menace.

Women are our own problem. Everyone is forming nonone forced her. Bad is the new good abi? So it’s cool to act bad, meanwhile you go to bed fighting your insecurities, wondering what you have gotten yourself into. Likes, comments, followers are all fickle. They don’t follow you to bed at night when you cry wishing for a normal life.

Use your head 🙏🏽

Good Night – Make Sure You Don’t Cry Yourself To Sleep 😘”

It didn’t take long for Moyo Lawal to know the post was directed at her. She came back still standing her ground and giving different perspective to the subject.

Quote:

“Uuuum…. Belinda I commented that no one forced them….. Hate themselves?? So dancing is a sin, some of this women you see dance don’t do anything … But u see the ones that don’t nothing on line……… ….. Those are the ones who do worse…. We are not talking drugs, prostitution or even abusive marriages here, that’s a totally different ballgame hun…… …. If I told you, some strippers are more decent than ladies who are always covered up, would that shock you??….. …… I think upbringing matters a lot, just because I see some people drinking, smoking all the time does that mean I should go and join them?? If I join them will I be blaming the smokers or drinkers?? No my love, they didn’t force me……… …. Bring up a child properly so peerpressure won’t allow them do things that ** might not neccesarily be bad**….. ……. abi will you say people stealing right now are right?? Because the government refused to give them food?? So the government enabled and encouraged stealing???”

” Also which one is insecurity and crying yourself to sleep because of normal life….. 😂😂Belinda because of people dancing? I haven’t been on any live since the beginning of this quarantine, so I can’t really say….. ….. But I can assure you, its not that deep jare ♥️ “

The argument escalated to a whole new level where other celebrities such us rapper, Ice Prince, Kate Henshaw came in with full force, standing behind Belinda to condemn the act. Celebrity stylist, Swanky Jerry, joined the debate, defending Moyo Lawal that the ladies engaged in the act on their own free will.
