According to Swedru-based musician, Kwaw Kese, the dancehall genre in Ghana is as good as dead and that the hiplife genre has now taken over.
Born Emmanuel Botchwey, the controversial musician indicated that his new track ‘DONDO’ has revived the hiplife genre which was previously overshadowed by the Dancehall.
He stated this claim in a recent tweet.
In the said tweet, he wrote;
“All the people insulting are dancehall lovers. Pls dancehall is not coming back to Gh oo. Jamaicans take dema thing back ???????????????? Dancehall fo no Monb) #Dondo na 3b3boa mo ????????”
