Speaking in an interview with Sammy Forson on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, Dee Moneey intimated that it is beneficial for a musician to sign with a distribution company depending on the terms and conditions of their deal.

He stated that there is nothing wrong with signing with distribution companies but in some cases, the deal ends up benefits the company more than the musician depending on how the song is being projected.

“There is nothing wrong with signing with a distributing company, is just what you want from it. Because I can come to you that I wanna sign up with with and this is $50,000 and I’m gonna sign you for 12 years and it is the job of the distributing company to blow the hell out of the song”,

he said.

He lamented that in most cases, the company ends up making more money from promoting the song than what they offered to the musician and sometimes if the music is lucky, the company might split their steams with them depending on the contract they signed.

Dee Moneey stated that musicians must make sure to strike juicy deals with distributing companies just so they can also make something for themselves even if it happens that the company makes more profit than they invested.
