The family of the late Hip Hop rapper Earl Simmons popularly known in the rap world as DMX has slated April 25 as the day the rapper will be buried.

According to a statement released by the rapper’s family, the remains of the ‘Ruff Ryder’ will be laid in state in New York come Saturday April 24, 2021 in a private ceremony which will be broadcast on the rapper’s official YouTube channel.
The home- going celebration will be held the very next day Sunday 25, April 2021 and it will be telecast live on the Black Entertainment Television (BET) for the general public.
The attendance of both ceremonies of the late rapper is limited to only family members and some close friends as the New York State COVID-19 protocols only 10% attendance for indoor events.
DMX died about two weeks at the White Plain hospital after he was admitted into the hospital for a couple of days following a heart attack which was as a result of a ‘drug’ overdose.
He was admitted straight into the intensive care unit of the hospital of which he was placed on ‘life support’.
Fans were in high hopes he will get back to his feet when they stormed the streets leading to the hospital singing and jamming to the rapper’s songs and hold placards wishing the rapper well. But things turned upside down when news hit the media that the rapper is not responding to treatments and his organs has started failing.
