Reports coming in from Washington suggests the impeachment trial of the former president of the United States of America Donald Trump will commence on February 8.

This indicates the trial has been pushed back for 2 weeks to make way for new president Joe Biden to set up his cabinet and administration for his first time of office.

Trump was impeached twice during his tenure of office as president with the latest one been the role he played in the Capitol building riots. Now his lawyers now has at least two more weeks to prove he did not instigate or motivated the riots.

Reports indicates the House managers will read the article of impeachment of January 25 of which the Senators will be sworn in the very next day. After that, both the House managers and the defense will have a period of time to draft their legal briefs.
