Speaking in an interview on the Ekwansodwodwo segment with Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey Santana on Okay FM, SDK stated that Ghana has been blessed with so much talent and almost everyone tries their possible best to be creative in their space.

He stated that Nigerian have been dominating the scene because of their population, hence there is absolutely nothing wrong with the fact that some Ghanaian talents learn from them but they should try and be creative.

He recounted how he got a concept from a Nigrian comedy skit but was able to find his own ways to create a replica version using a Ghanaian song just to match up with that content.

However, SDK urged Ghanaians to appreciate Ghanaian talents and criticize them based on their creativity instead of comparing them to other talents from other countries.

In other news, reigning songwriter of the year at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Peter Fameye Bozah, widely known as Fameye has intimated that his craft is not validated by awards.

In an interview with the lifestyle & celebrity blogger, Zionfelix on the Uncut Show, Fameye stated that his aim has always been to thrill his fans and music lovers with good and inspiring music and not to gain recognition by winning awards.

He said that awards only give him the bragging right to inform the future generation about the achievements he gained and just to boost his confidence to achieve more but they do not validate his brand as a musician.

It would be vividly recalled that Fameye was announced as the Songwriter of the year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards after Kofi Kinaata continuously emerged as the winner for four consecutive times.
