Popular highlife artiste, Ronald Kweku Dei Appiah, a.k.a Bisa KDei has advised his colleague artiste in the industry to forgo awards and focus on doing great music.
Speaking with DJ Advicer of Happy FM on the Ayekoo-Drive time show, the “Mansa” hitmaker gave a resounding advice to his fellow artiste on how to make good use of their craft and not concentrate on being awarded, Ghanaweb reports.
He recounted VGMA Awards night in 2016, the event that changed his perspective on doing music and being awarded.
Bisa KDei had 5 nominations including the ultimate prize, artiste of the year that but faced a stiff competition with E.L who was equally in his prime that period. With luck not being at his side that night, he lost to E.L

“We all thought the same [winning the award]. Sometimes things happen and we can’t change it. If you know something won’t go well for you at the initial stages, you become surprised.”
“After that I learnt that as an artiste you don’t focus on awards. You need to focus on what you are doing in music”, he said.
