Rapper Pope Skinny and Kwaw Kese have advised fast rising rapper Black Sherif never to alter his unique style to suit anybody.

The duo, together with Bismark The Joke, Kwaku Manu and other friends of the celebs were seen jamming to Sherif’s ‘Second Sermon’ song in a coded location abroad as they prepare some barbecue to devour with the bottles of alcohol seen in the video.

Pope Skinny shared the video on his Facebook page where he was heard telling the new sensation on the block to keep up the momentum while assuring him that he can count on his full support as well as that of Kwaw Kese and all those captured in the video.

Still on Black Sherif, the youngster recently told Graphic Showbiz in a new interview that his penchant for portraying gangsterism in his music videos is not designed to send any bad signal to the youth or to promote violence as seen in his First and Second Sermon songs.

In the two music videos, some young men were seen brandishing machetes which has obviously become the low point in his otherwise beautiful masterpiece. In defense, the 19-year old rapper said;

“I appreciate the concerns and that was why my team released a statement but we must understand that music is an art and it’s always open to discussions and criticisms. Personally, I’m always happy to hear people express their views and their understanding about my craft,” he noted.

Touching how he became recognizable and burst into the mainstream, Black Sherif said

“Since 2019, I’ve been there doing the kind of music that is giving me all the attention but the truth is that, I’ve never really bothered about seeking or enjoying fame. That is very far from my ambitions, it is not even on my ‘playlist’.

“It is the reason my songs address the very important issues that the youth are facing. There are many distressing issues that have been ignored but the themes of my songs have generated discussions and brought excitement to listeners who feel there’s a platform to highlight their challenges.

“Therein lies my satisfaction and not fame with little or no positive impact,” he stated.
