Ghanaian musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah who is widely known as Shatta Wale has gotten some applause from Ghanaians including award-winning Ghanaian songstress, Jane Awindor who is widely known in showbiz as Efya.

This comes after Shatta Wale made a post to support his colleague, Stonebwoy as he is set to hold his annual Ashaiman To The World concert today, September 3.

The post that Shatta Wale made got some reactions with some people saying he is just using it to chase clout, however, Efya jumped in to defend him.

Reacting to these developments in a recent post, Efy a wrote;

“Awwww Niii is being nice ☺️ ..!! More love less ego ..!!🙏🏾❤️”

The 35-year-old songstress has been in the Ghanaian musician industry for quite a number of years.

She is the daughter of Nana Adwoa Awindor, a filmmaker and celebrity host of the late television show Greetings From Abroad.

She was born in Kumasi, Ghana and she has two brothers and a sister. Efya obtained her secondary education from Yaa Asantewaa Secondary School. She relocated to Accra when her mother enrolled at the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI) film school.

In 2008, she gained national acceptance throughout Ghana by becoming the first runner-up in Charterhouse’s Stars of The Future television show. She lost to Irene Logan but secured herself a three-year recording deal.

The recording deal enabled her and Irene to do a collaborative album titled Unveiled, which was released in South Africa.
