Iran has sworn to avenge the death of their leader Qassem Soleimani, commander of Iran’s elite Quds Force. He was killed by a U.S. airstrike ordered by the President Donald Trump.

The 62-year-old general, was highly regarded as the second most powerful figure in Iran.

The attack by the U.S has sparked an escalation of unrest and what is believed to be a ” shadow war ” in the Middle East between Iran, United States and probably it allies ( Israel and Saudi Arabia )

Why Eritrea & Djibouti Can Suffer From Possible war:

The Bab-el-Mandeb  “Gate of Tears” is a strait located between Yemen on the Arabian Peninsula, and Djibouti and Eritrea in the Horn of Africa. It connects the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden. These are the areas which may suffer from the tension between Iran & U.S.

International Crisis Group has warn the Horn Of Africa nations to stay alert.

In Yemen, the United States is backing its ally Saudi Arabia against the Iran who is being backed Houthi rebels.

Top Iraqi militia commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, an adviser to Soleimani, was also killed in the attack.
