Commercial sex workers in Accra have increased their service charges due to the economic hardship in Ghana.
A lot of people in Ghana are complaining bitterly about the current economic hardship in Ghana There has been inflation in the country following the increments in goods and services. While many blame the mismanagement of the government, others have also blamed the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia.

In a report done by Joy News, these commercial sex workers who were interviewed complained about hard times and economic crises hence the increment of their services. Before the increment of their prices, one of the commercial sex workers stated that they had been charging Ghc150 for a short session that was between 15-20 minutes and GHc300 for a full night.
A Nigerian who works as a sex worker on the streets of Lapaz, a suburb of Accra shared her experience with the reporter of Joy News said she feels safe working in Ghana as a prostitute and also makes as much as $135 at least per night.
“Some people don’t cum quick. If you know you don’t release early, you have to give her more money. You have to pay the girl well to make her happy”, she added.
