Seasoned Ghanaian broadcaster, Gilbert Abeiku Santana has slammed the board of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) after the list of awardees was released during the weekend.
Some netizens have shown concern over the released list of the 2022 VGMA awards. One of the people who have lambasted the VGMA board is radio presenter Abeiku Santana.

According to Abeiku Santana, the VGMA board did not select people worthy to be awarded but selected artists who he described as “friends and acquaintances”.
Abeiku Santana stated that Kofi Kinaata and Fameye were supposed to be in the Artist of the Year category of this year’s VGMAs. Abeiku Santana berated the organizers of the event on his show, “Ekwansodwodwo”.
“So, Charter House and VGMA, in what way have Kofi Kinaata and Fameye wronged you? Charterhouse, organizers of VGMAs, I’m asking how they have wronged you. What have they done to the extent that they weren’t nominated for the Artiste of the Year category? Keep doing that.
“Keep being selective and unfair to these artists and continue to nominate your friends and acquaintances. Anytime it Is time for these two artists to be rewarded, they don’t get it. Just look at their works. Look how hard they have worked. Are you being fair at all? Your reward is in the hands of Shatta Wale.” he said.
