The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has cautioned the public to be on alert for an unregistered batch of Indomie instant noodles labeled “Ladha Ya Kuku” according to a report shared by Ghanafeed.

The report says the “Ladha Ya Kuku” batch of the product was recalled in some countries including Egypt for containing high levels of aflatoxins and residues of pesticides.

Following the findings by the Food and Safety Authority (FSA) of Egypt, over 700,000 cartons of different Indomie flavours have so been withdrawn from the Egyptian market by the supplier.

To safeguard consumers in Ghana, the Ghana Food and Drugs Board is alert to the prevailing circumstances and will soon subject the product to a thorough test before coming out with their final findings.
